Who are we?

• CarsCentrum is a marketplace to buy, sell, rent and lease vehicles in Europe. It is available on carscentrum.com and in the Android and iPhone apps.

What data?

• Listings: vehicle details, photos, your first name, your town, your postcode, your country and, if you choose, your phone number.
• Profile (optional): name or company name, phone, e-mail, address for dealers, logo and description.
• Messages: messages between buyers and sellers, leasing requests, rental bookings and buyback requests.
• Notifications: if you turn them on, a technical address from your phone or browser, to alert you (new message, price drop, booking).
• On your device: your favourites, searches, language and sign-in links. They stay on your device.

What we don't do

• No account or e-mail is needed to browse or post a listing.
• No targeted ads, no tracking, no selling of your data.
• Your number is only shown to people who ask for it on your listing.

Why?

• Only to run the service: publish listings, connect buyers and sellers, send the notifications you asked for and fight fraud.

Who processes it?

• Hosting: Netlify, Inc. (United States). Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which allows this transfer under the GDPR.
• Notifications: your phone's or browser's service (Google, Apple or Mozilla) delivers them.
• AI price estimate: only the vehicle details (make, model, year, mileage…) are sent to Anthropic. No personal data.

How long?

• A listing that is not renewed expires after 90 days, then it is erased 90 days later. A sold listing is erased after 30 days.
• Buyback and rental requests are erased after 30 to 60 days.
• You can delete everything yourself at any time.

Your rights

• You can access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use (GDPR).
• Write to us at the contact address below. You can also contact your country's data protection authority (in Luxembourg: the CNPD).
